Scratch and Win

Game Design / Print Security

Situation: Increasing product sales and creating an interactive, engaging playing experience was the impetus of a scratch and win game for this Columbia-based consumer goods marketer.

How it worked:

  • Over 4,000,000 scratch and win game cards were distributed in participating product packages across Columbia.
  • The uniquely patterned directional game card required consumers to navigate through the playing area via a series of up, down, left, right arrows.
  • Consumers who navigated to the wining symbol had the chance to win a cash prize – total prize pool available to be won was $210,000 CAD.

iC Group Promotion Risk Managers p rovided the pattern configurations to match the specified odds, prepared the patterns for print production and conducted print security including review of press sheets, shuffling processes and seeding of high value game piece for the entire game.
