Situation: Boosting-up product sales by appealing to the younger demographic had this snack food marketer tapping-into an integrated online and text messaging campaign.

How it worked:

  • UPC and text messaging shortcodes were printed on participating product packages.
  • Consumers sent a text message to the shortcode for the chance to win digital prizes such as mobile ring tones, graphics and games.
  • Consumers then received a unique PIN on their mobile phone which they could enter at the promotion website for the chance to win sweepstakes prizes.
