Coupon / Black and Decker -- “Builder Benefit $100,000 Sweepstakes”

Scratch & Win/Sweepstakes

Situation: When Black and Decker tooled-up at the International Builder’s Trade Show, they turned-up the power with a $100,000 cash give-away to draw booth traffic and reinforce five key brands.

How it worked:

  • Game cards were mailed-out to Homebuilders Association members prior to the event, which offered the chance to win in one of two ways at the show.
  • Scratch & Win: Participants scratched 5 boxes on their scratch card and visited the Black & Decker booth at specified times to find out what prize they were eligible to win. Prizes available to be won included American Express and Starbuck’s gift cards.
  • Leveraged Sweepstakes: A portion of the scratch & win game card also included a leverage sweepstakes contest for the chance to win the Grand Prize of $100,000 cash.

iC Group provided prize insurance for the $100,000 Grand Prize and handled Promotion Risk Management and fulfillment services.
